Privacy Policy
Short version: your practice stays on your iPhone. There's no account, no tracking, no ads in the app and no analytics.
What stays on your device
Your answers, progress, streaks, mistakes to review, practice preferences and settings are stored only on your iPhone. We don't have a server that receives them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Voice answers
When you answer out loud, Apple's speech recognition turns your voice into text. When your iPhone supports it, this happens on the device. Otherwise Apple processes it under Apple's Privacy Policy. InterviewGrind doesn't store or send recordings; only the resulting text is checked, on your device.
Notifications
Reminders such as the question of the day are scheduled on your iPhone. There's no push server and we don't collect a device token. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are bought and billed through Apple; we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app ID and Apple's purchase receipts. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Measuring our own ads
We advertise InterviewGrind on the App Store and on social media. To learn which of our ad campaigns led to installs and subscriptions, the app uses two Apple features that don't identify you:
- Apple Search Ads attribution (AdServices). On first launch the app asks Apple for an attribution token and passes it to RevenueCat, which asks Apple whether the install came from one of our Search Ads campaigns. We see campaign-level results (for example, which keyword led to a trial), not who you are.
- SKAdNetwork. The app tells Apple it was opened for the first time. If you installed it from one of our ads on another network, Apple sends that network an anonymous, delayed, campaign-level count. No device or personal identifier is shared.
We don't use the advertising identifier (IDFA), don't ask for tracking permission, and don't share your data with ad networks.
Emails you send us
If you use "Contact support" or "Report a problem", your email app opens with a message you can edit before sending. It includes the question ID, your answer and the app version, so we can fix the problem. We use these emails only to reply and to improve the questions.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-up
- No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifier (IDFA)
- No selling or sharing of personal data
Launch email
If you enter your email on interviewgrind.app to hear when the app launches, we store that address and the date you signed up in a database hosted by Cloudflare. We use it only to send that one launch email, then delete the list. We never sell or share it. To be removed sooner, email fellowshiprealmsupport@gmail.com.
This website
interviewgrind.app uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. It's served by Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Children
InterviewGrind is made for people preparing for job interviews and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
